The minimum number of exams required for both the MRI and CT Accreditation Programs has been revised. Please refer to the Clinical Image Testing section of each program for the updated table outlining exam requirements based on the number of modules selected in the application.
Important: Facilities are still required to apply for all modules routinely performed at their site, regardless of the updated minimum exam requirements.
Effective Jan. 1, 2026, all phantom exams for CT, MR, NM/PET, and stereotactic breast biopsy accreditation must be performed within 14 months of the testing package release date. Facilities may use images from the most recent annual medical physicist survey if they meet all requirements. Images older than 14 months before the package date will not be accepted.
A new pathway to safer, smarter, and more supportive MR care.
ACR Accreditation now offers non-U.S. imaging facilities recognition for meeting current ACR accreditation standards. Facilities will submit self-assessment documentation for verification. No clinical or phantom images required.
The ACR has approved Pro-Project Group sp. z o.o (Diagnomatic) to produce and sell the new ACR MRI Medium Phantom.
