Read moreACR ® joined efforts urging Congress to provide at least $1.7 billion for the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H) in federal fiscal year (FY) 2027. ACR said the money should supplement — not replace — funding for the National Institutes of Health so ARPA-H can continue its unique mission.
More than 120 organizations signed the letter, which asks for funding to remain available through FY 2029. The request is a $2 billion increase over the $1.5 billion Congress approved for FY 2026. Supporters say the boost would help ARPA-H keep advancing new technologies and solutions for major health challenges.
The letter also thanked Congress for its bipartisan work to strengthen the nation’s health, science and technology efforts. ARPA-H opens new doors for imaging research, including clinical trials and improved access to data. The letter highlights recent progress, current programs and new initiatives underway at the agency.
