The College asked lawmakers to provide at least $51.3 billion for NIH and $1.7 billion for the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H). ACR also urged Congress to keep ARPA-H funding separate from the NIH base budget.
In its testimony, ACR highlighted imaging and radiology advances made possible by federal research dollars. These investments help physicians diagnose and detect disease earlier and ultimately improve patient care.
