Read moreACR® and other members of the Friends of NIBIB Coalition met with NIH officials Aug. 21, to discuss efforts supporting the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering (NIBIB). Established in 2025, the coalition is made up of specialty societies that support NIBIB through advocacy, education and public awareness.
The NIBIB director thanked coalition members for helping raise awareness of the institute’s initiatives. ACR also met with NIBIB staff and leadership to discuss upcoming programs that could benefit radiology. One key initiative is the Precision Medicine with AI: Integrating Imaging with Multimodal Data (PRIMED-AI) program. The program will combine medical imaging with other health data to develop artificial intelligence-powered clinical decision support tools.
